Safely Operating a Wood Chipper Shredder

1.What to prepare before starting up the wood chipper shredder?

• Get familiar with the operation instructions.

• Check the chipper to ensure that it is well assembled, the bolts and nuts are tight, the tires are well inflated and that the trailer hitch operates smoothly (if attached to the trailer, ensure that it is tightened).

• Test all safety and emergency shutoff devices before operating the chipper.

• Check the engine to ensure that the oil added meets the requirements and is of sufficient volume.

• Make sure there are no children around the machine to prevent accidents.

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

2.Cautions for operating the wood chipper shredder?

• After the wood chipper starts working and runs for a short while, adjust the cutting speed to reach the working requirements.

• Make sure the diameter of the branch put into the in-feed hopper area meets the requirement.

• Do not put hands in the in-feed hopper area while the wood chipper is running. 

• In the event of an emergency(for example, the blade is stuck), quickly press the emergency stop button.

3.What to do after the wood chipper shredder stop running?

•  Do not touch the engine immediately after the wood shredder has stopped, avoiding being burned. Let the wood chipper naturally cool down for a while.

• Clean up the debris in the in-feed hopper and the discharge.
